Implant Revision
When an implant placed elsewhere develops a problem, we start by finding out why it failed.

Why revision is difficult
Revision is more demanding than the first surgery. Removing an existing implant can reduce the jawbone further, and long-standing inflammation often means a bone graft is needed as well. Without identifying the cause of the failure first, the same problem tends to return.
Recommended for
- Your implant is loose or has come out
- The gum around the implant is swollen or bleeding
- You feel pain when chewing, or food keeps getting trapped
- You have been told elsewhere that revision would be difficult
Treatment process
- 01
Cause diagnosis
CT confirms the extent of bone loss and the state of the existing placement.
- 02
Removal & treatment
The existing implant is removed and inflamed tissue is cleared.
- 03
Bone recovery
A bone graft is performed if needed, followed by a healing period.
- 04
Re-placement
Once conditions recover, a new implant and crown are placed.
